Legal Permanent Resident Status Through Adjustment of Status

Adjustment of Status is one of two methods to obtaining Legal Permanent Residence. Adjustment of Status is typically available to those that are already in the United States and meet certain requirements.

If you are eligible to adjust status you will be able to do the medical exam, biometrics, and immigrant visa interview in the U.S. without having to return to your home country.

Not everyone is eligible to adjust status.
